Airdeccan goes for new Internet Reservation Engine

This is just in air deccan india’s leading low cost no frill airline has dumped interglobe technologies India   for Radixx International a US based travel technology software provider for their Online Internet Reservation Engine. Launch of Air deccan site marked Interglobe’s arrival in Travel technology vertical as an established player.

Using Radixx International’s hosted Air Enterprise suite Booksecure.net which has also found taker earlier in Go Air . Go Air has much more simpler and efficent reservation engine instead of Air Deccan airlines. On Feb 27th 2007  till 2 PM air deccan reservation engine was still having trouble pulling out fares but after couple of attempts to run a query resulted in result format similar to Go Air.  The Corporate and Travel Agent login is also down due to changeover in system.

Possible Indian companies dont understand concept of effective changeover or Business Continuity planning keeping in mind Air deccan operations are 100% dependent on internet as sales channel.

This is second airlines in short span of 10 days to change their reservation engine and site format after jet airways first covered on Business India 2.0.

    The change in the reservation engine by Air Dccan has caused much inconvenience to the customers. I wanted to cancel my return tickets from Mumbai to Goa booked for 3rd March 2007 but was unable to do so because of non functioning of the website. Even the customer executives on
    24 hours helpline were not accessible and what I could hear was only recorded voice.How many times one can wait for 15 to 20 minutes… just to increse their telephone bills?? The flight was scheduled to take off next day but I was not able to cancek it. However, I approached somebody at the airport to cancel the tickets on my behalf. Even at the airport, there was utter confusion and chaos.

    Till date I have not received my refund and air deccan executives are not available either through email or helpline numbers when it comes to refund. This only show that air deccan is not a good airline and does not care about its passengers. I would reccomend everybody not to travel on air deccan.

    Same experience I too have. Still I have time to cancel the ticket. But I don’t think I can do it before the scheduled date.

    Its really a waste and ridiculous professionalism by big “CHEAP” airline in India.

    Please let me know when will the amount will be refunded for the cancellation of tickets on 10 march 2007. the amount was credit from the credit card on the same date. but refund is making too long. we have cancelled and planned accordingly for the amount. please progress it as soon as possible. please consider about the passenger.

    i am not able to book a ticket for aug 2007 its showing all the tickets after july 31 is sold out

    when i call customer care they are not reply just saying please wait

    when young and talented software engineers are there in india then why airdeccan goes to US company

    changing the website have some procedures .This rapidxx havent taken care abt the existing system

    I have cancelled my Air deccan -AIR ticket booked on flight no: DN-713, dtd: 28-feb-07 due to personal problem. The cancellation was done at chennai on the same day. Due to problem with cancellation procedure, the Air decann staff at chennai Air port could not able to cancel the ticket on 28-feb-07 instead they have done Air ticket cancellation on 1-mar-07. Air deccan staff at chennai port stamped the e-ticket for partial refund telling me that money will be credited within 2 days. So far, the refund amount was not credited on my account. Though, the staff at chennai confirmed the ticket cancellation, but still the refund was not credited to bank accounts.

    The following are the details of ticket.
    Old PNR no: DA09525523
    New PNR no: 1552878
    Flight no: DN -713
    Date : 28-feb-07
    Departure : MAA (chennai)
    Destination: BOM (Mumbai)

    More than a month has been passed, but still not being cleared the refunds. I have spoken to Air port Air Deccan officials either at bombay / chennai , sent mail to refunds@airdeccan.net, visited air port office again but every time either I get new phone number to call or I get no response.

    They are simply cheating all types of people who educated or not educated, who are professional or not a professional etc.

    Could you know the way to get refunds from Air deccan.

    DUE TO SOME PROBLEM I HAVE CANCELLED THE TICKETS FROM NAGPUR -MUMBAI ;DN-671/672 FROM PALAM AIRPORT BUT AT THE AIRDECCAN COUNTER REPLIED THAT DUE TO PROBLEM IN NETWORK THE REFUND CAN NOT BE MADE .HE HAS SUGGSTED TO TAKE REFUND FROM NEAREST AIRPORT AFTER 40 DAYS ONLY I.E NAGPUR.AIR DECCAN STAFF STAMED THE TICKET AND GIVE IN WRITING WITH STAMP THAT AMOUNT WILL BE RETURNED .WHEN I CONTACTED THE NAGPUR AIRPORT THEY HAVE GIVEM ME THE CALL CENTRE NUMBERS. WHEN I CONTACTED THE CALL CENTRE NUMBER ;IT SUUGESTED TO GIVE QUERRIES TO EMAIL refunds@airdeccan.net with stamp ticket as attachment.

    already 7 days are passed but till date no respose have been received from air deccan.It is really sorry state of affair.Please give me guidance regarding the matter because it is not the matter of amount but case of harrasment .
